The Commission has nine Regional Arts Councils that provide statewide delivery of arts services and information. Regional Arts Councils, each serving one or more Oregon counties, provide the following core services throughout the region:

  • broad dissemination of arts information
  • support for artists and arts organizations
  • advocacy on behalf of the arts, serving as the "art voice" and functioning as the regional convenor, promote, and collaborator on behalf of the arts
  • promotion of arts education among adults and children
  • support of arts programming in public places

Regional Arts Councils also provide other services specific to the needs and resources of the communities in each region. Regional Arts Councils are eligible through grant funding through the Commission's Operating Support, Arts Services and Arts in Education programs.
