Access Reimbursement Grants will help offset the expenditures of specific access expenses incurred by Oregon’s nonprofit arts organizations, to ensure public access to all individuals who want to participate in an activity of the organization.

Art Acquisition Funding
Deadline: March 29, 2013
The Ford Family Foundation’s Art Acquisition Program, managed by the Oregon Arts Commission, provides resources to Oregon visual art institutions and public visual arts collections for the purpose of acquiring seminal works by Oregon visual artists to preserve public access to them and to provide support for the artists and to the visual arts institutions that support their work through acquisition and exhibition.

Arts Build Communities Grants
Deadline: October 1, 2012
Arts Build Communities grants recognize and support both the arts in local communities and the involvement of the arts and artists in community development. The program recognizes the expanding role arts organizations are taking in the broader cultural, social, educational, and economic areas of community life. Support will be provided to arts and other community-based organizations to form alliances and partnerships to strengthen communities through projects that connect the arts with local issues and opportunities.

Arts Learning Grants
Deadline: May 1, 2013
Arts Learning Grants support meaningful activities that reach K-12 students and teachers through partnerships between artists and arts organizations, and the schools and/or community. One-time events or projects will not be as competitive as grants that demonstrate and encourage cooperation and networking among teachers, artists students, and communities to make the arts integral to learning.

Arts Recognition Grants
Deadlines: September 13, 2012 and February 4, 2013
Arts Recognition grants are $1,000 awards made to exemplary arts organizations that have a record of excellence in programming, service, and organizational capacity, but have not received other Arts Commission funding. Arts Recognition grants are a visible indication of Commission support and assist in raising an organization's profile and in leveraging other funds and resources. These awards are not for operating support.

Arts Services Grants

Arts Services grants provide operating support primarily to local and regional art councils, or other arts organizations that offer regular, ongoing arts services to a broad audience. Services can include information and programs that encourage participation in the arts, and that offer opportunities for artists to contribute to the economic, social, and cultural well-being of Oregon communities.
Arts Services grants are operating support for arts organizations that offer a menu of quality arts services on an ongoing basis to a broadly representative population.

Capacity Building Grants

Cultural Tourism Grants

The Oregon Arts Commission offers Cultural Tourism grants to support projects and partnerships that positively impact arts-based cultural tourism activities. This effort advances the Commission’s long-range plan calling for stronger links between the arts, culture, the tourism industry, and local economic development. This grant program will support activities undertaken by arts or tourism groups – and especially projects in which these groups collaborate — designed to increase tourism motivated entirely or in part by the arts-related offerings of a community or region.

Operating Support Grants
Deadline: May 1, 2013
Operating Support grants support the operations of and public access to the programs of Oregon's medium and large not-for-profit arts organizations. The Oregon Arts Commission encourages applications for projects include creation, exhibition, or performance of work created by Oregon artists of demonstrated artistic excellence. They are intended for arts groups whose prior year cash operating revenue totaled at least $75,000. Download applications and guidelines separately.
