For Immediate Release Contact: Oregon Arts Commission Announces Artist Fellowship Deadline The Oregon Arts Commission will accept applications for its FY2006 Individual Artist Fellowship Grants until November 3, 2005. The Commission's fellowships recognize outstanding Oregon artists, and the $3,000 grants are awarded both on the basis of past achievement and future promise in the arts. This year, the program will consider applications in the areas of visual arts, crafts, photography and design. Artist's applications are reviewed by panelists who make recommendations for funding based on the quality of the artist's work as presented in the application and support material, a record of sustained professional activity and achievement, and the artist's exceptional and continued aesthetic investigation within the discipline under review.
