Accessibility

Like all other businesses and non-profits, arts organizations have a legal and ethical responsibility to ensure that their programs are accessible to people of all abilities.

Accessibility means striving to provide all people with an equal opportunity to experience the programs and services offered by an organization. It also means providing any reasonable modification or accommodation necessary to achieve equal opportunity.

The Oregon Arts Commission is committed to supporting access in Oregon. We provide advice to organizations, online resources and reimbursement grants for accessibility projects. For more information or to request additional accommodations for any Oregon Arts Commission program or event, please contact Deb Vaughn at deborah.vaughn@oregon.gov
